The Parallel Trilogy is a young adult science fiction trilogy about travel to parallel universes. Parallel Lives is the second book in the series.

   Two people.  Two dimensions.  One friend in trouble needing both their help.

     Jared Cook and Jen Long first met in an alternate dimension when both suffered severe life-threatening head trauma.  Both survived, eventually recovered and returned to their former reality.  

     Now Jared has suffered a recurrent head injury and finds himself back in the same alternate dimension where he finds Ike, a former friend, in terrible trouble.  Trouble which will ultimately require the help of both Jared and Jen, in order to survive.

The Parallel Trilogy is a young adult science fiction trilogy about parallel universes. Parallel States is the first book in the series.

The universe is composed of multiple parallel realities, and to pass from one to another requires the traveler to either dream or to die.  Seventeen-year-old Jared Cook has found another way, when he sinks into a coma after a near-fatal head injury he sustains while playing soccer.  He awakes to find himself in an underwater community, where he meets a fellow traveler, Jen Long.  She claims to be his girlfriend, and he learns that she has suffered her own near-death experience.  She has been exiled to the hostile surface by a shadowy Council, that dispenses justice in this new land, for sharing her memories of her previous reality.  Jared vows to assist her in her efforts to survive her sentence, but finds that his coma is beginning to lift, making it progressively more difficult for him to remain in this new reality.  What unfolds is a race to find sanctuary for them both, before Jared’s time runs out.
